Land of unparalleled beauty

Safaris in Okavango, Moremi, Chobe ...

Botswana - 'land of the Tswana'. A special country with a few unique natural phenomena. In the north you will find a world-class attraction: the Okavango Delta , named after the river that meanders here. The eastern part offers the most varied flora and fauna in the country and is therefore protected. Rare animals such as wild dogs and swamp antelopes live in this Moremi game reserve, but also four of the 'big five'. That foursome – lion, leopard, buffalo and elephant – can also be found in the nearby Chobe Game Reserve, named after Botswana's other major river and known for its safari cruises. At the southernmost point of the delta are the salt pans of Makgadigadi and Nxai, which flood during the rainy season. This is the only place in southern Africa where you can see wandering wildebeest and zebras! In addition, Botswana is known for one of the largest collections of rock art in the world. They are hidden in the Tsodilo Hills on the edge of the Kalahari , the semi-desert that covers much of the country.

Good afternoon here's a little account of my unforgettable trip to Botswana: The trip was amazing in one word, perfectly prepared from Schiphol to the destination! The reception at the airports was also of great class, everyone was very helpful and very nice! The lodges were beautiful. Nice one with nature and a great reception by the general managers and other staff. The rangers were equally great and very informative about the areas and animals. Of the three lodges where I've been to …

Dear 'Untamed',   We have just returned from a fantastic trip through Botswana, Zambia and Malawi! How we enjoyed it! As soon as we arrived at Victoria Falls airport, we noticed how well everything was arranged. During the trip we did not have to worry for a single moment. Everywhere - at every airport and at every accommodation - someone was ready to help us or take us from A to B. We could blindly trust that everything was well arranged. That was delicious!    Boundless k…

mr. Uithol and Mrs. Domburg

Dear Griet Daneels, When we got home from our fantastic holiday in South Africa and Botswana we found your "welcome home" card with a request to leave a review. Here's a short report: In October 2016 we made an individual tour of South Africa and Botswana with Untamed Traveling (in the past we also had good experiences with them with a group tour of South Africa). From the reception on arrival at Johannesburg Airport, the entire organization ran smoothly and on time. A smooth transfer to the h…

It took a while, but we would like to thank you extra for the beautiful trip you have provided and especially for the fantastic memories and experiences we have gained; they are indeed memories for a lifetime , simply unforgettable! The support from Wilderness was very professional and the travel program perfect. There are a few points that we might have done differently. Do not get me wrong; we have not experienced it as negative at all: Upon arrival in Windhoek you will be received and 'br…

Dear Joseph and employees, As you may remember, my son and I have two years  looking forward to this journey. We are now looking back on a fantastic trip  with many highlights. It flew by and we were already ahead  lost all sense of time halfway through the journey.  Robbert has pasted hundreds of photos behind his camera  made where quite a number of prize winners will be among them! You know the route we have traveled very well yourself, so  just a few comment…

Also this year we had another great trip through your equally great organization! Everything was in perfect order, we didn't have to worry about anything. All transfers, planes, cars, safaris, the food, the people... Exactly as we expected, nothing too beautifully displayed. I often suffer from that. Everything looks nicer in the photos and in a description, but not with you, it really is that beautiful! We especially want to draw attention to the fact that Ghoha Hills Tented Camp is a winner.…

Family Swart

The experiences from the arrival in Savuti to the return flight to the Netherlands are indescribable. But I'm going to try anyway... After a fascinating flight over the bush where we saw huge families of elephants, buffalo and hippos, we arrived at Savuti Camp. As soon as we wanted to walk to our cabin, we were warmly welcomed by a large elephant with flapping ears and raised trunk. The next day, on the way to the toilet room, a whole family of elephants was grazing right by the gangplanks. Lat…

We are now a little two weeks back from the wonderful  botswana. Our trip was truly fantastic. Beforehand we had  of course certain wishes in terms of sightings, but we were not on it reckoned to see as much as we did. In addition to the large numbers  elephants, buffalo, zebras (et cetera), we had the privilege of  eleven lions, five leopards (one by our tent camp during the  supper), three cheetahs (two of which we saw a ibex  catch) and five wild dogs (who caugh…

Aaltje Bakker (on behalf of the Bakker family)

We have been back from Botswana for a few weeks now, but we hadn't got around to telling you about our experiences. We had a fantastic trip. We enjoyed a lot. The trip was well organized and the accommodations were very good. Transport between the different locations was also well organised. Toka Leya was beautiful, we couldn't see the falls very well from the Zambia side because there was a lot of water and the downfall obscured our view. Taking pictures was therefore difficult unless you h…

Botswana during corona

Complicated preparations and more checks while moving, but once on site, enjoy!

Family trip South Africa, Botswana and Mozambique

We travel with the whole family - my parents, brother and sister-in-law, my husband and our children - off to Africa. Wildlife safaris in South Africa and Botswana and a sun-drenched beach resort on Mozambique await us. Because we are with a rather large company, the choice for private villas is quickly made.
