Pod and Touaregs
The Sahel (southern Sahara) is located in the northeast of Burkina Faso, bordering Mali and Niger. In the dry landscape live the Islamic Pod and the itinerant Touaregs. The inhospitable area with scarce vegetation lends itself perfectly to making brilliant walks. In the vicinity of Oursi, a small village located between the dunes are also waterholes, a precious possession. The average rainfall is about 150 to 500 mm per year, most of which falls in the rainy season, which runs from October to March.
