Close to the geographical 'Heart of Africa' lies an area that is almost mythical due to its enormous biodiversity. The Odzala is a national park that has only been visited by few. The Odzala Discovery Camps consist of three eco-friendly lodges that are uniquely located and form a perfect base to explore this special nature reserve with all safety and comfort.

The three camps of Odzala Discovery Camps
Ngaga Camp
Ngaga Camp is located just outside the park boundary at Ndzehe and overlooks a beautiful clearing in the middle of the primary forest. Meeting gorillas on your bucket list? Then Ngaga Campt is the place-to-be. In the vicinity of the camp live a number of groups of western lowland gorillas, two of which are habitated. The camp is built with natural materials and with the use of traditional techniques. The design is unique and the six rooms are built like treehouses. From the connecting walkways you look straight into the tree crowns.
Lango Camp
The six rooms of Lango Camp are also elevated and give a fantastic view of the marshy surrounding landscape. The area has a magnetic attraction to a huge variety of birds including the African green dove and grey parrots. But also herds of buffalo and elephants walk day and night through the forest. The camp is strategically located in the Odzala N.P. giving you easy access to the different areas. A highlight of your stay at Lango Camp is a motorboat trip, traditional prauw or kayaking yourself across the Lekoli and Mambili River.
Mboko Camp
With twelve guest rooms, Mboko is the largest camp. It stretches along the banks of the one side branch of the Lekoli River. Located in a lush savannah, habitat of buffalo, elephants and spotted hyenas. In Mboko you get the feeling of the large scale of the Odzala N.P. while you can also enjoy the smaller splendour as well as the abundant flowers and butterflies (depending on the season). From the camp you have breathtaking views of the transition between the tropical rainforest and the savannah where hundreds of towering termite hills create an alien landscape. Enjoy the brilliant starry sky before falling asleep on the murmur of the flowing water in the Congo River.
