Accra, the capital of Ghana (about 2 million inhabitants) is  an intriguing city with a unique identity. The city is located on the Atlantic Ocean  and offers many opportunities for making excursions. For example, you can visit the Artist's Alliance, a collection of art galleries and antique dealers where you can buy beautiful and high-quality souvenirs. But the national museum, the Ghanaian Academy of Arts and Sciences and the National Archives are also worth a visit. Furthermore, accra is home to the Ethnographic Museum, which shows tribal art from all over the country, and the old quarter of James Town, inhabited by the indigenous people known as the Ga.
