Part of Kafue Park
The north of Kafue park is dominated by a large swamp, fed by the Lufupa River, which becomes completely dry in the dry season. Here lie the Busanga Plains, a delta with a unique ecosystem, untouched by human hands. This area, with vast grasslands as far as the eye can see, is known for the Kafue Lechwe, a water antelope that is common here, and the thousands of waterfowl.
