Great landscape diversity
Enclosed between the mighty Zambezi and Limpopo rivers, Zimbabwe is home to a wide variety of landscapes and national parks that invite all kinds of activities. Follow the course of the Zambezi from Victoria Falls through Lake Kariba and Matusadona to Mana Pools. Along the way, you can take a panoramic helicopter flight over the falls, take a sunset cruise on the upper Zambezi River, raft through rugged rapids just after the falls, canoe on Lake Kariba or between sandbars of Mana Pools, and go on safari on foot or by 4WD in Zimbabwe's true wilderness. You can do this equally well in Hwange, and really go off-grid on a safari in remote Gonarezhou.
Ancient cultures
Remains of ancient civilizations can be found in several places. The ruins of Great Zimbabwe are mysterious and impressive. Exceptionally beautiful are the cave paintings of Matobo National Park, an area of magnificent granite formations. Where the world can't find you...
