Five of the thirteen islands in the Baa Atollare occupied by tourist resorts. The rest of the islands are deserted, with pristine vegetation and virgin beaches. The reefs are in excellent condition and whether you dive or snorkel, the natural beauty of the atoll will delight you. One of the secrets of the Baa Atoll is the large amount of mantas and whale sharks that visit the atoll, especially during the monsoon from May to July.
The main activity in the atoll is tuna fishing but some islands are also known for their craftsmanship. Eydhafushi, the main island, is known for weaving 'feyli' – a wrapper sarong for both women and men.
