Do you know your way around large parts of Africa better than anyone else—particularly in East and West Africa, but also in unique destinations such as Angola, Congo, and Ethiopia—and are you a commercially driven and experienced travel specialist / Travel Designer? Then we’re looking for you!
As a Travel Designer for East and West Africa , you will be (partly) responsible for creating and selling customized trips to well-known and lesser-known destinations in East and West Africa (particularly in Ghana, Senegal, and Gabon), but in consultation with the Africa team, you will also handle other African destinations, such as Angola, Ethiopia, and Congo-Brazzaville.
Because you need to be able to advise clients passionately about a destination, we expect you to have traveled, lived, and/or worked in various parts of Africa—particularly in East and/or West Africa—and to have extensive experience in designing and selling travel packages. You’ll meet with customers in person to assess their needs and, based on this, put together a suitable itinerary. To do this, you’ll be in contact with our local agencies.
Good speaking and writing skills in Dutch and English are required. In addition, your computer skills are excellent and you have mastered at least MS Office programs Word, Excel and PowerPoint. On occasion, you will contribute to presentations and represent Untamed Travelling at trade shows and events.
We all work from home and are not tied to a specific office location. We stay in touch with each other online through an integrated telephone network, and we also communicate via Teams. We meet periodically for consultations and meetings with suppliers, for example at our office in Amsterdam-Zuid.
Note: Remote working outside the Netherlands is not an option.
