This makes it pleasant to "land," figuratively speaking, and get used to the warm climate of the south. However, the immersion in the culture and nature of the vast country starts right away. Ancient traditions are intertwined with modern life, and given color by the different ethnic groups.
The tropical zone is far behind you when you arrive in Hanoi. The cool climate of the mountains contrasts sharply with the heat during the first few days of your trip. - In a cyclo bicycle cab, you sit first row, up front, with unobstructed views in all directions. The imperial monuments of the city of Hue pass by at a leisurely pace.
- The refined flavors of culinary Hue are considered the best cuisine in all of Vietnam. Hue's "Imperial Cuisine" adds to that. Delicious dishes with resounding names are served lavishly: cucumbers become dragons, pineapples mythical birds.
- Pet a turtle! The "Temple of Literature" in Hanoi has many stone sculptures, including a long row of turtles with stelae on their backs. When students face an exam, they pet the head of such a turtle. This brings luck and wisdom.
- The village of Duong Lam seems straight out of a picture book. Century-old laterite houses, narrow streets, vistas ... truly a picture!
- Extraordinary costumes and stunning, mountainous surroundings can be found in Sapa. The temperature is pleasant, put on your hiking boots and trek through villages and valleys.
- Your journey ends languid and fulfilled on a cruise ship. Countless karst formations reflect in the waters of Ha Long Bay.
