Tracking animals
The different landscapes you see continue to surprise and there are always exciting things to discover. Searching for nocturnal animals in the dark with a flashlight, picnicking in a forest where you can hear noisy gibbons, cruising on the sea and then sailing into a cave in a kayak... These are educational, but above all extremely fun adventures.
Cycling through villages and a homestay
Life in rural areas may be simple, it is pure, authentic and welcoming. Walking or cycling through villages and fields, contact is quickly made. Who knows, you might suddenly find yourself in a rice field and learn how the young rice plants are set out. During a homestay you will get even closer to everyday life. You can literally take a look in the local kitchen or even help to make noodles. There is no set program, but the unpredictability makes the experience intense. In the evening, when the lights go out and silence descends on the village, you suddenly realize: you are experiencing the real Vietnam.
Following this trip, you can travel on to central or southern Vietnam for a stay at a salubrious beachfront resort. There are several luxury resorts with excellent facilities for travelers of all ages.

- The Ethnological Museum in Hanoi shows how many different peoples live in Vietnam and how they live. It is good preparation because you will get to meet some of the ethnic groups yourself
- During the puppet show, you will entertainingly learn about rural life, and the fascinating history of Vietnam
- In Bat Trang, children grow up with pottery; it is a real family craft. An ox cart will take you through the village and in the workshops you can hand-paint a pot or bowl
- In Ky Son, you will make your own lunch during a Vietnamese cooking workshop! Step by step everything is demonstrated, it will be a delicious meal
- A bike ride through the villages near Ky Son is full of surprising encounters. The people are happy to invite you for a cup of tea and they will tell you about their work in the fields. If you want, you can lend a hand! Lunch will be served in a traditional house
- At Mai Chau, the landscape is idyllic and a bit bizarre, with strange karst formations rising from the rice fields. The people you encounter belong to the Thai people. You will spend the night here in a traditional stilt house
- Cuc Phong National Park is not only beautiful, it has exceptionally diverse flora and fauna. At the sanctuary for primates and turtles you will already see some animals, but even more exciting is to search for monkeys and other animals yourself in the tropical forest. You can even do this during an evening walk. Try to catch the nocturnal animals in the light of your flashlight!
- You will bike to Yen Quang Lake and then transfer to a kayak. On the lake, you will see fishermen at work
- In the 10th and 11th centuries, Hoa Lu was the capital of Vietnam. The imperial temples and citadel have remained largely intact
- A boat trip through the Van Long Nature Reserve is almost like a fairy tale, so beautiful! The wet rice fields are lined with karst mountains and you can spot many bird species along the way
- Equally beautiful are the karst formations in the Gulf of Tonkin. During a multi-day cruise, you will see several bays, including the famous Ha Long Bay. Along the way, you can visit caves by kayak and regularly take a dip in the sea
- During the cruise, you will make a long stop on Cat Ba Island. In the rainforest, you will search for the rare langurs, found only here. The forest twitter, chirp, rustle and scratch...these are sounds that will stay with you
