Cameroon JOURNEYS
Rhumsiki, Boumenda, Douala, Waza NP..
Cameroon is a surprising destination; particularly rich in culture and with a beautiful nature. In the north of Cameroon there are vast savannas, dense rainforests inland and beautiful sandy beaches along the Atlantic Ocean. Every region in Cameroon has its own flora and fauna. There are six national parks, in which the special flora and fauna are protected. Go on safari in Waza National Park or look for chimpanzees, gorillas and forest antelopes in the tropical forest. The vast savannas are the habitat of elephants, giraffes and moose. Cameroon is also a great destination for bird lovers. Cameroon has a lot to offer culturally. The population consists of dozens of different ethnic groups, of which the Bantus, the Bamiléké and the Fulani are the best known. The Bamiléké tribe lives in the mountains and is famous for its colorful parties with special masked and costumed dancers. The combination of culture and nature makes a visit to Cameroon a unique and unsurpassed experience.

FROM OUR BLOG
The Tribal Peoples of Cameroon
Cameroon is also called 'all of Africa in one country', because all the landscape types of Africa are found there. It is also a country of great cultural diversity; about 210 different population groups live there. In December 2019, together with travel photographer Henk Bothof, I made a cultural trip to the tribal peoples in Cameroon, where we visited a number of isolated and still authentic tribes.
