Saba: small but impressive
Only 13 square kilometers is the island of Saba, which along with St. Eustatius and Bonaire are part of a special municipality of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. Despite the island's small size, Saba offers a unique blend of natural beauty, historical charm and a welcoming atmosphere. Unspoiled nature, picturesque villages and a rich history makes it an unforgettable destination for travelers seeking adventure and authentic Caribbean charm.
Charming villages and natural highlights
Saba has four main villages: the capital The Bottom is home to cozy restaurants, bars and historic landmarks such as the old customs at Well's Bay and the iconic "Ladder." Windwardside, where most of the hotels, museums and stores are located, is starting point for the hike to Mt. Scenery, the highest point in the Kingdom of the Netherlands. St. John's offers beautiful views of neighboring islands and Fort Bay Harbor and is great for hiking along historic trails such as the Crispeen Track. Zion's Hill (Hell's Gate) is known for Holy Rosary Church, a former sulfur mine and the starting point of the Sandy Cruise Trail, with breathtaking views of the Saban coastline.
