Great Migration in Serengeti
Traveling in Tanzania , the land of natural wonders. Most appealing to the imagination is the annual migration of hundreds of thousands of wildebeest and zebras from the Serengeti to the Masai Mara in Kenya. This natural phenomenon was even declared one of the new wonders of the world by the American news channel ABC. The most famous natural wonder of Tanzania is undoubtedly Mount Kilimanjaro , the highest mountain in Africa and also the world's largest solitary volcano. The sight of the snow-capped peak above the savannah landscape has something unreal. The Ngorongoro Crater offers a fairytale appearance with its lush slopes, lakes and wildlife. All these 'toppers' are located in the north of the country, which therefore attracts more visitors than the south. Those who like peace and quiet can travel to the south of Tanzania. To game reserves like Nyerere - Africa's largest and declared a World Heritage Site - and Ruaha , where southern and eastern Africa meet! For the experienced and well-traveled safari goer, there are still a few game parks in Tanzania that guarantee an ultimate wilderness experience. Katavi NP is one of those national parks, just like Mahale and Gombe .
THE ISLANDS OF ZANZIBAR, PEMBA, MAFIA AND MNEMBA
A stay on Zanzibar or on the Swahili coast is the ideal end to a wonderful safari! The quality of the comfortable and small-scale lodges by the sea guarantees a pleasant stay. Tropical Zanzibar is a melting pot of Arab, African, Indian and European influences. A visit to "Stone Town" is highly recommended; outside the city, the air fills with scents of the most diverse spices. For those for whom Zanzibar is actually too touristy, there are the exclusive islands of Pemba, Mafia and Mnemba. Surrounded by coral reefs, you can enjoy fantastic diving and snorkelling here, sometimes accompanied by giant turtles.
