A barely discovered natural paradise
When we think of Panama , we first think of the famous canal that connects the Atlantic and Pacific oceans and is one of the most important waterways in the world. This narrow country on the border between two continents is an absolute natural paradise that has hardly been discovered. On the Caribbean coast is the Bocas de Toro archipelago with exotic islands and wonderful beaches. In the San Blas Islands , the indigenous Kuna maintain their traditions and way of life. The backbone of the country is formed by cloud forest overgrown mountain ranges which are home to some of the best birdwatching hotspots in the world and a rich wildlife to discover. On the border with the South American continent you will find an untouched jungle, the famous Darién and its authentic forest inhabitants, the Embera . From the green Pearl Islands in the Pacific Ocean you can discover the colorful underwater life. The bustling Panama City has a beautiful historic center and a hypermodern skyline. Nearby are some of the most beautiful national parks where it is wonderful to walk. Between the forest giants you can see the huge sea ships slowly glide past on the canal, a fantastic image!
