Tanzania and Zanzibar

Mr and Mrs Van den Bos made a varied tour of three weeks through Tanzania. Starting with four people with the ascent of Kilimanjaro, after joining a fifth traveler, continuing with safaris in Tarangire National Park, Lake Manyara NP, the Ngorongoro Crater and Serengeti NP, concluding with a beach stay in Zanzibar.

Dear Mrs. Van Hoof, dear Angelia,

We have been back in the Netherlands for over a week now.  Our holiday in Tanzania and Zanzibar went well; everything was very well organized for which we thank you very much. Both the ascent of Uhuru Peak (very tough but still achieved all four), the safari and the days on Zanzibar were fantastic. We can look back on this for years to come.

Very important to us was the gluten free diet. Here is perfectly taken into account by the cook during the ascent. It was not taken into account during the safari and on Zanzibar; that wasn’t a problem though, there was plenty of choice. The cook during the ascent deserves five stars. The guidance by the guides Salym and Pitah was also very good and the porters were also very friendly. We can therefore heartily recommend the local agent, the lodges, tented camps and guide Morgan to you for other customers.

The resort on Zanzibar was remote; however, we were able to get a good rest here from the ascent and the safari. Point of attention is some overdue maintenance, including no hot water. However, we did not find this a problem. The people were very friendly and helpful and the sea view was superb.
