Linyanti Reserve
West of Chobe NP is the Linyanti Reserve , a little-visited reserve with untouched wilderness. The landscape of this park in Botswana is bisected by the Linyanti River, with dense vegetation along its banks and papyrus swamps. The Linyanti River separates it from the Caprivi strip in Namibia . The river and the swamps are home to large herds of elephants, crocodiles, hippos, lechwes, sitatungas and many bird species.
Savuti Game Reserve
The landscape of Savuti Game Reserve is varied, from open grassland to wooded hills, from palm trees to acacias. The wealth of game in Savuti is mainly due to the Savuti River, which has been flowing for several years after having been dry for a long time.
