Tropical natural beauty and whales

Today, the remote peninsula in the Dominican Republic a true natural paradise with pristine beaches and beautiful rain forests. The rolling mountains and valleys form the crystal-clear rivers that flow into the Atlantic Ocean as they flow to stunning white sand beaches that stretch for hundreds of miles along the rocky coastline. A dream destination for nature lovers and the ultimate honeymoon.

Every year between mid-January and late March, as many as 2,500 giant humpback whales visit Samaná Bay to mate, give birth and bask in this tropical landscape. In addition to seasonal boat excursions to spot whales, you can choose from many eco-adventures such as bodyboarding and kitesurfing in Las Terrenas; hiking, birding and caving in Los Haitises National Park; canyoning or horseback riding to explore the El Limón-waterfall to reach and boat trips to beautiful white sand beaches at the foot of 90-meter-high cliffs or to the island of Cayo Levantado offshore.
