We have now returned home safely from our trip to South Africa and were able to unpack a suitcase full of wonderful memories. Both the trip itself, which was very smooth, and the lodges were exceptionally good. Friendly staff, knowledgeable rangers, and excellent meals, complete service all around. We find the local agent to be an excellent tour operator who has their logistics process and everything involved well in order. The Phinda Zuka Lodge got our 1st prize, due to its small scale and commitment. The distance between customer and staff was very small. Phinda Mountain Lodge was also excellent, much larger, but also offered many options. Phinda Forest Lodge we found a bit more distant, but this lodge scores because of its location.
