We are now a week back from our trip through Peru, and have recovered somewhat from all the impressions on this fantastic trip. Of course we don't have to tell you how amazing Peru is, and what we have seen and done there. We wanted to let you know that we are extremely satisfied with the organization and planning of the trip.
Being in a foreign country, and hardly speaking the language, it is enormously pleasant when the reception at the airport goes as hoped, the hotel is indeed booked, the guide is there at the agreed time in the morning, and the transport turns out to be flawless. are arranged. We were impressed by the friendliness, attentiveness, and punctuality of all the local agent's employees. Our tour required quite a bit of planning, but there wasn't a single moment when we felt let down. Everything went smoothly. In particular, the various local guides have contributed enormously to a smooth and very pleasant course of the various visits and trips. Several of them really made us feel welcome, and noticeably went out of their way to make us as comfortable as possible.
In addition to the planned program, we enjoyed making some additional trips. The accommodation was fine as a rule (extraordinary in Paracas itself!). On the Inca trail, Ruben even went so far as to take over Sandra's backpack (the trek uphill to dead women's pass was not an easy one!).
On our trip we met several other tourists who had to deal with lost luggage, cancellations of planned trips, and other things that can quickly spoil a holiday, underlining once again that a perfect trip is not something that can be taken for granted. In our feedback to the local agent, we stated our overall great satisfaction, and could only make two detailed comments
talk about things that could have been a bit better (eg the very mediocre service in the hotel in Cusco) but we regard those details as inevitable dips in an otherwise perfect holiday.
The last (for our surprise) dinner in Lima, in la Rosa Nautica, on the other hand, was an example of how things went beyond expectations on the other side. Even the weather was very kind to us except for two showers.
In short: we are very satisfied and would like to thank you for the perfect organization of everything. We look back on a great trip.
