Our experience with Untamed Travelling on our trip to Trinidad and Tobagowas definitely positive. The excursions with the local tour operator were very positive, both in terms of the personal interactions and the explanations provided during the excursions. We booked an additional trip on Tobago for a drive along the west coast of Trinidad to the fishing village of Castara.

We’ve had good experiences meeting residents of both islands whenever we had a problem—like not being able to find a taxi. After we mentioned our problem to a young man (“Oh, you speak English with a Dutch accent”), he offered to take us to the hotel. I was able to convince him to accept the same fare as the taxi would have charged early that morning, and he agreed. The food tour and the explanation about the steel band were interesting. We even enjoyed the shark sandwich. We also visited the botanical garden and the zoo.
