Tour Peru

Dear Robert and team of Untamed Travelling,

Last Saturday we came home from our three-week tour of Peru. And we look back on a fantastic journey with exciting and impressive impressions of a beautiful country. What a beautiful nature, culture and people. With great food and drink. And what a well organized trip, thanks!

Our positive experiences with Untamed started while preparing for our trip. Robert has listened carefully to our wishes and shaped them into a beautiful tailor-made trip. And those positive experiences from the preparatory phase have been confirmed throughout our journey; the program fully met our wishes and expectations. Maybe even more than that.

Also the execution in Peru by the local agent was particularly good. With professional guides with a very personal approach who felt the atmosphere in our family very well. With good drivers. And with a very punctual compliance with the entire programme; the guides, transfers and contacts were taken care of in detail.

When our program had to be overturned because the Sacred Valley became unreachable due to a pre-announced strike, the local agent also handled and resolved it very efficiently and decisively. By sliding with the excursions over the days we did not miss any of the planned program. Because our hotel in the Sacred Valley was not accessible they extended our stay at the hotel in Cusco. Initially this should be done with a supplement, but after consultation it is free of charge and seemingly effortlessly arranged. Class!

If I have to mention one less point then it's our hotel in the Colca Canyon. The Eco Inn Hotel in Yanque did not meet our predetermined expectations. Definitely not compared to the other hotels. It was on our program as a Tourist Superior hotel. But it was the only hotel where there was no drinking water in the room, where there was no continuous hot water (and that is a nasty experience if it freezes in the evening and at night) and where besides breakfast and dinner at other times there was no service.

I would recommend our program to everyone. We have seen and experienced many highlights of beautiful Peru. Highlights that are likely to be visited by many travellers. But also the train journey from Puno to Cusco was a highlight of our trip, what an experience. And to end our trip on mancora beach was the icing on the cake.
We ended our trip with a fantastic dinner at one of the fine dining restaurants of the culinary paradise that is Lima. With four of the best restaurants in the world (San Pelegrino list 2016), that could be another program tip for travelers who, like us, also love good food and drink.

I will be happy to recommend Untamed Travelling to anyone who wants to make a nice trip.   Thanks for these 'memories for a lifetime'!

Warm greeting,
