Eagle Island Camp,located on the remote Xaxaba island deep in the Okavango Delta, is hidden in a web of waterways and lush vegetation. It has views over a lagoon that attracts a breathtaking variety of big game and exotic birds.
The eleven fully equipped tents are housed on raised wooden platforms and have traditional African thatched roofs. All tents have a comfortable bed and an en-suite bathroom with Victorian bath and double outdoor shower. Take a seat in the hammock and enjoy the sound of chirping birds and proselytizing hippos.
Treasure chest of nature
A professional guide takes you through the treasure chest of wildlife, more than 400 bird species, huge beds of papyrus and countless palm trees islands. This can be done on foot, by mokoro or by helicopter. In between the daily safari activities you take a cooling dip in the large pool and buy souvenirs in the small curiosity shop. Once dark, view the enchanting African starry sky through the large telescope. Or do you exchange stories by the campfire while enjoying a delicious glass of wine...
