Lodge only accessible by plane
Khwai River Lodge is located deep in botswana'sspectacular wilderness, on the edge of a leadwood forest overlooking the vast Khwai River. The perfect location for observing the African bush with its huge concentrations of mammals and great diversity of bird species from the hammock on your private porch.
The tent chalets with traditional thatched roofs stand on raised wooden platforms and are very comfortably decorated. Are you looking for a more private and unforgettable stay? Try the Private Suite. The suite, located away from the other tents, features a heated splash bath, outdoor showers and a beautiful copper Victorian bath with only a tree branch as a canopy.
Game drives, walking safaris, culture & relaxation
Activities in the camp include morning and afternoon game drives in an open 4x4 vehicle looking for elephants, rhinos, buffaloes, wildebeest, zebras, antelopes, lions, leopards, cheetahs and so much more. Glide across the water by boat while spotting Bateleur Eagle, Tawny Eagle, African fish man and Brown Snake-eagle. A cultural visit to a local village can also be arranged as well as guided walking safaris along the Khwai River full of hippos. After an exciting safari it is wonderful to stay in or around the pool or feel one with nature during a treatment in the small spa. In the evening taste the tasty dishes in the indoor dining area or outdoors surrounded by wild animals. An impressive day ends at the campfire with a good glass of South African wine.
