Largest chimpanzee and gorilla communities in the world
Odzala National Park is located in the heart of the Congo Basin and is one of the least known national parks in Africa. The region is very remote, far from human activities, so there are still large numbers of mammals to be seen. The park is home to the largest chimpanzee and gorilla communities in the world. Odzala offers a varied landscape of jungle and savannah, a unique combination. The marshy Lango Bai and the shallow waters of the Lango stream both have a range of minerals, salts and fertile soil which attracts many wildlife. In these clearings in the jungle it is quite easy to spot game. Here you will find sitatunga antelopes, shoulder to shoulder with gorillas, forest elephants and the 'giant forest hog'. A unique and special place on earth!
