A unique wildlife experience
Prepare for the most unique experience ever; Loisaba Starbeds, sleeping in a 'bed' under the Kenyan starry sky. The lodge is located in the north of the Laikipia region. Laikipia has no formal protected areas, the local population takes care of the welfare and survival of nature and wildlife. You will find elephants, Grevy's zebra (endangered), black rhinos and the Somali ostrich. Very occasionally you even see an African wild dog, making her comeback in this area.
Special overnight stay
Loisaba Starbeds is a unique camp, on the edge of the Laikipia plateau on the banks of the Ewaso Nyiro River. Koija has one double platform and two double platforms with four-poster beds placed on a plateau for spending the night. Each platform features an en-suite bathroom with outdoor shower. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are of course in the bush!Various activities are organised from the camp. For example, you can fish in the river, spot birds, go with game drives (day and night) in an open day 4WD, take walking tours under the supervision of with Samburu and Mukogodo Masai fighters, horse riding, camel rides, mountain biking, rafting on the Ewaso Nyiro River and a cultural visit to the villages of the Samburu and Mukogodo Masai.
