Lodge with colonial character
Huntingdon House is located in perhaps the most beautiful region of Malawi. The Thyolo forms the heart of a tea producing region with rolling hills, emerald plantations and some of the oldest houses in the country.
The lodge has recently been tastefully renovated while retaining its colonial charm and unique character of yesteryear. Elegance, comfort, tranquility and taste can be found in each of the five individually decorated rooms. The large colonial house is surrounded by vast landscaped gardens with secret patios and terraces waiting to be discovered.
Many activities and excursions
Cross the estate by mountain bike, by car or on foot. The only traffic you will encounter are tea pickers and tractors laden with freshly harvested tea. After all the activities relax in the garden with a book and delicious cup of fresh tea. From a nice picnic spot high up on the mountain overlooking Mount Mulanje and the River Shire you will experience the beautiful sunset here at its best. Breakfasts are enjoyed on the porch, lunch in the garden, dinner in the old dining room.
