Luxury ecolodge, completely off-grid
Blue Footprints is a very exclusive ecolodge in Imhambane, the strip between the beaches of Barra and Tofo. This place is world famous for the diversity of its marine life and therefore also as a diving port. The luxury lodge is very secluded, in the middle of unspoilt nature and is completely off-grid; the electricity is generated by solar energy and the crystal clear water is pumped from a well.Blue Footprints is specially designed to give you unparalleled views of the Indian Ocean from the bar, restaurant, lounge, swimming pool and villas.
The lodge consists of only five luxury villas (a total of up to 10 guests at a time). These are specially designed mindful of the spectacular views and privacy. Each villa has its own outdoor deck with outdoor shower, a daybed, a hammock and 180 degree unobstructed ocean views. Full exclusivity guaranteed!
The restaurant serves dishes ranging from authentic grilled shrimp marinated in lime and chilli to delectable homemade tricolour chocolate mousse. The ingredients come from the best local suppliers and from fishermen with the freshest catch. Meals are accompanied by a selection of the best wines and liqueurs. The bar is home to delicious freshly prepared exotic cocktails.
In short, a perfect base for soaking up Mozambican culture, enjoying nature and tranquility, snorkeling and diving. The marine life here is spectacular and hugely varied. During a 'game drive' on the ocean you will encounter dolphins as well as Manta Rays, whale sharks and humpback whales.
