Lodge on a peninsula in the Indian Ocean
Pomene Lodge is located on the coast of Pomene, one of mozambique's most picturesque places. Remote and with only a small number of inhabitants, untouched. The lodge is situated on a narrow peninsula in the Indian Ocean. Crystal clear water on one side and a spectacular mangrove estuary on the other; the best of both worlds.
There are three types of chalets; the luxury waterfront chalets for the 'back to nature' experience, chalets with their own kitchen and small one-room chalets that share a kitchen together.
From the communal bar you look out over the pool and over the estuary, the place to enjoy the sunset. Meals are used outside on the balcony of the restaurant, on the banks of the estuary. Fresh fish and crab are favourites here.
Pristine waters of pomene
Pomene is a world spot for diving, according to some even one of the best sites in Mozambique. The density and variety of marine life is amazing. The dive centre is PADI certified and offers everything you need; diving equipment, air fills and sailings to the reefs with depths ranging between 8 and 30 meters.
The pristine waters of Pomene are also known for 'game fishing'. Opponents like Wahoo, Kingfish, tuna, Couta and sailfish will test even the most experienced fishermen. And also for fly fishermen trips can be arranged.
Pomene Lodge has a variety of activities for all ages such as ocean safaris, snorkeling, fishing, spearfishing, mangrove trails and horse riding.
