Cooking workshops and jazzy events

In Great Karoo lies the charming town of Prince Albert, at the foot of the Swartberg Pass that connects the valley to Klein Karoo. Historic houses give a pleasant atmosphere; the people of this region are especially friendly. In the heart of town is African Relish, a multi-purpose venue where hospitality is elevated to a high dimension. Here you are welcome for a workshop in the recreational cooking school, but this is also the place to be for various events and live concerts, focusing on jazz. It doesn't stop there. African Relish is housed in a 200-year-old Longhouse, with a rustic olive grove and lush vegetable and herb garden behind it. In several spots are seating areas and long dining tables, where freshly prepared dishes are savoured and carafes of wine pass from hand to hand. Just down the road - within walking distance - in Prince Albert are the cottages, where guests can spend the night in peace.

Hospitality in the heart of Prince Albert

The cottages are built in the typical Karoo style; they are lovely cottages to shelter from the heat of the Karoo. The interiors are stunning with influences from various South African artists. The mix of colors, artistic design and a more rural design feels soothing; it highlights the generous hospitality in the heart of Prince Albert. Where the world can't find you...
