Just outside Nelspruit, surrounded by the rolling hills of Mpumalanga, lies Tomjachu Bush Retreat. Within the private nature reserve are very comfortable self-catering cottages and a villa, all available to individual travelers, families and small tour groups of up to twelve people. It is palpable and visible in everything that this property has a long family history. Once a tobacco farm, in 1985 the course was changed and nature took center stage: many species have since returned to the area. The existing houses were refurbished, new cottages were built from the ground up. The result is beautiful, everything exudes hospitality thanks to the rich, nostalgic furnishings. Paradise for birdwatchers
Tomjachu Nature Reserve is a wonderful nature reserve where you can hike or bike endlessly. Along the way you may encounter zebras, giraffes and other animals. It is a true paradise for birdwatchers: here you will find some 275 different species! Excellent guides are available to show you around.
