The exclusive eco-friendly resort has only ten luxuriously equipped rooms. The rooms are decorated in local style and decorated with lots of wood, shells and corals. You only share this beautiful resort with a few guests. This way you can fully enjoy personal service in an oasis of peace and quiet. The rooms deliberately have no phone or television. Solar energy is used for hot water. Enjoy the tranquility, the sounds of nature and the unsurpassed views of the Indian Ocean.
The cosy restaurant is built in typical local architecture with lots of wood and Makuti. The cuisine is based on fish and chapwani's specialty is the catch of the day prepared according to typical Zanzibare recipes, a mix of flavors and aromas. The professional local chefs are led by an Italian chef. Meals can also be personalised on occasion and served at the edge of the pool or on the terrace of your bungalow.
The bar is near the restaurant. Here you can enjoy thirst-quenching tropical cocktails made from fresh fruit at all times of the day.
The pool is filled with sea salt water so as not to disturb the island's ecosystem. The pool is set in a beautiful palm garden overlooking the sea.
Natural beauty
Walk the nature trails through flora and fauna and open spaces and along the shores of the inner lake, where you can spot white herons and 'divers'. With a little luck, the local gardeners can show you coconut crabs, a protected species that can grow to a maximum of 4 kg (!). At low tide there is a show of the starfish that immerse themselves in the reef. The fascinating underwater world is within reach of everyone. Snorkeling above the coral reef or with a fishing boat in search of giant tortoises.
Chapwani features a typical local boat built by Zanzibare carpenters. This takes you on fantastic excursions to, for example, 'Prison Island'. There are also transfers to Stone Town, where you can go for entertainment and dinners.
