The 'open-to-nature' Kilindi Zanzibar was originally designed for Benny Andersson, one of abba's band members. Kilindi is an amalgamation of the best of diverse cultures of Tanzania and Zanzibar.
The main pavilion overlooks the huge pool with bar from which you have views over the shimmering waters of the Indian Ocean. Dine outside on the terrace or on the pristine white beach that runs along the full width of the Kilindi estate.
There are 15 oriental-style luxury pavilion suites, set around a 50-acre tropical garden. The intimately located suites have their own plunge pool and have their own 'wet room' with rain shower that gives you the feeling of being one with nature. The décor of the suites was originally kept, but is enriched with the extras of today. Each pavilion is situated in its own tropical garden and has a private butler. Privacy guaranteed. In addition to an extensive menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner, this butler also offers assistance in arranging the many activities kilindi and the island have to offer.
Two of the 15 pavilions consist of a double suite, the 'Two bedroom Pavillions'. They are two adjoining suites with a private swimming pool and a shared shower room with double sinks and rain shower, of course again with magnificent views over the Indian Ocean.
