African Bush Camps: pure and harmonious

A characteristic of African Bush Camps encampments and lodges is that they strive for harmony with the land, wildlife and people in everything. During this trip, you will stay at the comfortable and small-scale camps Zambezi Expeditions and Kanga Camp.

Authentic experience of the wildlife park

Mana Pools National Park is a World Heritage Site: the nature reserve is unique, magnificent and very diverse, and moreover extremely rich in bird species and other wildlife. It is also one of the few game parks where foot safaris and canoe tours are possible, in addition to classic game drives by 4WD safari vehicle. The ultimate setting for true immersion in the authentic bush, for an in-depth experience of all aspects of this pristine wilderness area. You are sure to see large herds of elephants and buffalo, troops of lions and who knows, maybe even a leopard and wild dogs.

Classic tented camps

The spacious canvas tents are pitched in the shade, not far from the water. The perfect place to blend into nature even outside activities, where life goes on day and night. Follow the rhythm of the day as you enjoy your breakfast, lunch and dinner, and fall asleep to the night sounds near and far. In the early morning, fresh tracks betray which animals visited the camp during the night. Where the world can't find you...

Tips & tops from The Wilderness of Mana Pools:

  • Fly from Harare by charter directly to the heart of Mana Pools
  • Staying in two semi-mobile encampments in very different locations
  • Take an exciting foot safari. Your passionate guide recognizes tracks, droppings, cries and exclamations of all the animals, making every walk in the bush an adventure
  • During a canoe trip, the boat glides silently through the water, approaching drinking elephants and kudu close to the shore
  • From Kanga Camp, take game drives through valleys and areas with striking mopane woodlands
  • In the dry season, animals depend on Kanga Pan's sparse waterholes, resulting in very exciting and sometimes violent encounters
  • Enjoy long evenings under the African sky by a campfire in the middle of the wilderness
