Grandiose palace resort
Just under a century ago, Ajit Bhawan was built as a private residence, a complex of buildings and gardens, courtyards and terraces, walls and stairs. Grand, grandiose, more palace than dwelling. It is still family-owned by the family that built Ajit Bhawan, but part of the complex was remodeled and modified in the 1970s to be used as a hotel. A new concept was born, this became India's first Heritage Hotel. Guests here enjoy the best possible service in an environment that is unique in every way.
A visual experience full of history and tradition
Take your time when you spend the night here so that you have the opportunity to explore the stone labyrinth where every path and corridor leads to a new experience. All the walls breathe history and are tastefully decorated with a wide variety of artifacts. This is a visual feast full of stories about past events and deep-rooted traditions. The one thing that is truly contemporary is the high level of comfort, contemporary amenities and outstanding service. It is as if the maharaja is personally seeing to it from his private quarters that his respected guests lack nothing.
