Indian toy trains
In India, one of the world's largest rail networks connects millions of inhabitants day and night across thousands of rivers, through huge mountain ranges and desolate deserts to every corner of the so dynamic country. Traveling by train in India is an experience in itself while traveling through India. Luxury trains, such as the Maharajah Express, but especially the so-called "toy trains" or "toytrains" appeal most to the imagination, technical marvels constructed on narrow gauge tracks through steep hillsides to open up picturesque hill stations like Darjeeling, Conoor and Shimla.
