SIT BACK & RELAX
Secluded bays, undiscovered islets and white, black and even pink beaches. Indonesia has popular beaches, but certainly also surprisingly beautiful places with azure water where you feel like you are alone in the world.
Sulawesi
Gangga Island and Siladen Island in North Sulawesi are two beautiful islands with lush tropical gardens and palm trees lined with white sand beaches and crystal clear waters. The islands are part of the Bunaken Marina National Park which has no less than 26 dive sites. Bira Beach in South Sulawesi is another destination with impressive beaches, a lovely laid-back atmosphere and white sandy beaches.
THE LITTLE SUNDA ISLANDS
Tanjung Aan is the most beautiful beach in Lombok. In the two bays it is unprecedentedly quiet and you have the turquoise water and white beach all to yourself. Also on the beautiful Gili Islands the tranquility prevails and transport is still by horse and cart. Special are the pink beaches of Komodo, created by the red coral off the coast. Sailing on an authentic schooner is best seen.
Bali has been popular for years as a sun destination due to the beaches of Seminyak, Kuta, Sanur, Tembok and Lovina. Yet the southern hipster town of Canggu, with its rice and pineapple plantations, is perhaps the most beautiful beach destination on the island.
