Historic Site
For everyone, Hiroshima is inextricably linked to the atomic bomb. The poignant Peace Memorial Park, the museum, and the iconic A-Bomb Dome keep the story of the victims and the message of peace alive. At the same time, Hiroshima surprises visitors with its lively atmosphere, green boulevards, the beautiful Shukkei-en(strolling) garden, Hiroshima Castle, and excellent cuisine, featuring local specialties such as okonomiyaki.
Miyajima
The nearby island of Miyajima is home to the most important Shinto shrine, the Itsukushima Shrine, with its famous “floating” torii gate in the sea, creating an impressive blend of nature, spirituality, and culture. The entire area surrounding the shrine is beautiful.
