Shinkansen: comfort and punctuality
Shinkansen has been Shinkansen running a high-speed train in Japan for more than fifty years, and in these years this carrier has built up an excellent reputation. The equipment is constantly being modernised and the network is still being expanded. In 2016 you can travel very comfortably from Tokyo to Kanazawa and Niigata,to Kagoshima-Chuo in the south, to Shin-Aomori in the north. The long distances are covered at speeds of up to 285 km per hour, so you can travel - for example - from Tokyo to Kyoto in less than three hours. The punctuality of the Shinkansen is remarkable: delays are so exceptional that the total delay per line is expressed in seconds per year! Hundreds of thousands of Japanese travel daily with the Shinkansen, and you too can get acquainted with this way of travelling during your trip through Japan. It's an absolutely Japanese experience!
