Helicopters over the Himalayas
From the air you can see the sharp and unpredictable shapes. All the rolling has disappeared from the landscape. The cutting edges of mountain ridges alternate with erratic peaks. You look down on the mountains where you look up most of your journey. But this doesn't make the Himalayas any less impressive. Sun and shade side give each mountain two lives. An existence in the spotlight, with the sun lighting up the snow brightly. On the other hand, the mountains are shrouded in a mysterious shadow. A reflection of their menacing and elusive character.
You can do a helicopter flight at different places in the country. In the region of Mount Everest, you will fly over Everest Base Camp. From the air you can see the Everest Glacier and the famous Everest Ice Fall. You will look out over the summit of the Lhotse (8516 meters), the South Col (7906 metres) mountain pass and Mount Everest (8848 metres). If you look closely, you will also see signs of life at this height. Monasteries in the shelter of a mountain ridge. Villages of the Sherpa, the hardened inhabitants of this rugged area. On the other side of the Himalayas lies the Annapurna region. Whoever flies here has views of the peaks of the Annapurna (8091 meters) and Macchapucchre (6993 meters), the villages of the Gurung and the Pokhara Valley. And all at a glance.
