The seasons
Lapland's appeal is partly determined by the seasons. After the dark winter with the Northern Lights, spring brings back the daylight. The thick snow and ice slowly begin to melt and summer is the season of the glow of the midnight sun. This slips back into autumn and then Lapland takes on the iconic "ruska" colors. This is the season for taking hikes in the splash of colors.
