Hanseatic City par excellence
Hanzestad Hamburg in northern Germany is less known as Berlinand Munich, but certainly so interesting. Stroll through the Speicherstadt with many museums and theatres. The Rathaus, or city hall, is one of hamburg's most beautiful historic buildings. The modern Elbphilharmonie, an unusual concert hall with no less than three concert halls, a hotel and catering establishments, is nothing short of special and impressive.
Due to its seaside location and the River Elbe, boat trips are a pleasant way to explore the city from the water. Or enjoy from the waterfront in one of the many restaurants of the ships that enter the port. The Sunday morning fish market is a lively scene of market people praising their trade and every year in May there is the Hamburger Hafengeburtstag, the official opening of the sailing season in Germany. The bustling hanseatic city awaits you, where the world can't find you...
