Rich flora and fauna
The Iberá marshland (Esteros del Iberá) in northeastern Argentina is one of the largest swamps in the world and one of the most important freshwater reservoirs in South America. It is known for its huge biodiversity. Both the Yacarekaaiman and the broad-snout caiman are here as well as the beautiful orange coloured swamp deer. There are about 350 different bird species. This nature reserve is compared to the famous Pantanal in Brazil but is much less crowded. Highly recommended for the true nature lover!
