Lodge on Chilean island of Navarino
At the southernmost tip of the American continent, the Lakutaia Lodgelies amid fjords, glaciers and canals. The surroundings are rugged, deserted, extreme and of unparalleled beauty. The Lakutaia Lodge is located on the Chilean island of Navarino, near the town of Puerto Williams. It is a good base for exploring Fireland and Cape Horn. The lodge has 24 rooms, with stunning views of the Darwin Mountains or on Seno Lauta. The lodge offers excellent service and excellent cuisine. Everything is prepared with fresh produce that is delivered daily by local farmers and fishermen.
Excursions from the Lakutaia Lodge
Various activities are organised from the lodge. Horseback riding, fly fishing, canoeing, trekking and hiking by authentic sailboat along glaciers, accompanied by sea lions and sometimes a whale. It is also possible to go to Antarctica from the lodge for a day. You will depart from the lodge for Puerto Williams and fly from there to Antarctica.
