Best
We've been back from vacation since yesterday. We've had a very nice journey.
We found the hotel/B&B in Cape Town very cosy. Nice location, nice concept, delicious breakfast... We also once had dinner there, quick shower, delicious food and then some European Football in the living room, cozy! The rooms and bathrooms are small though. The guide Ryaan Williams was superb. Due to the weather conditions, we had to book and pay for a new whale trip, according to the guide we would get this refunded.
Victoria Falls was very nice. Nice hotel, good service, breakfast is not top notch. Fantastic activities, the rafting we will not soon forget! Actually, we would have liked to have stayed here a day longer.
Somalisa
is a very nice camp, beautiful tents, good shower, nice bathtub, good bed, wood stove... The food is just good. The surroundings we found slightly less, few animals, mainly elephants.
Mana Polish was beautiful, very nice setting by the river. Camp as said very basic. Food was the best of the whole trip, fantastic what those people can do in a primitive environment. In terms of atmosphere also the best, very cozy, lots of chatter, laughter, games played. Very sweet team, twice dancing with us all around the campfire until we were out of breath. Beautiful walking safari made to the nest of the wild dogs that had little ones.
The return trip was in minor. Initially, the flights were all well tuned. Due to a cancellation of a flight there came a change and we would have to wait seven hours at nairobi airport, you thought that and we were not ok. We had booked a good alternative, via Johannesburg. We shouldn't leave our camp until after lunch. We were surprised when it turned out that we had to leave at 8.45am on the day of departure. We were in Harare at 11am, the flight to Joburg was at 6.45pm. We had eight hours of waiting for the bow in a primitive airport, we spent most of the time sitting outside on a couch. We had an employee on the line after noon because we would have liked to book business for the long flight, then told where we were and for how long. Around 2.30pm we picked up someone for a short city tour, at 4.30pm back at the airport.
I've seen in my documents that it said we had a common flight from Mana Pools. This was adapted to the people with the earliest flight, at our expense. It seems to me only natural that you had foreseen this and arranged a private transfer. No one wants eight hours of camping at Harare airport!
Would like to conclude positively because apart from the false note of the return trip it was a very nice trip, one of the most beautiful we have already undertaken!
Kind regards
