Dear Joseph and employees,
As you may remember, my son and I have two years looking forward to this journey. We are now looking back on a fantastic trip with many highlights. It flew by and we were already ahead lost all sense of time halfway through the journey. Robbert has pasted hundreds of photos behind his camera made where quite a number of prize winners will be among them!
You know the route we have traveled very well yourself, so just a few comments on that. The outward journey was via J'Burg to Maun with a stopover in J'Burg. on feel fine, only it was a surprise for us that the luggage was already there piped through. Luckily I had some toiletries in my hand luggage. It seems to be more common, but in the information there is a point of interest. The seat reservation was completely fine, both on the outward and on the return trip. Those comfort seats at KLM are an invention and on the return trip at the emergency exits and near the toilet it was also best to hold out.
Interim flight transports in Botswana are a positive and adventurous experience in itself. The camp/lodge destinations were more than ok for us. Even though worked in Gunn's camp only the cold water tap in our tent. Wake up right away! Probably because a connection to the solar system is not good sat. It was picked up a bit 'lazy', which was certainly not characteristic for the rest of the service. We are probably because of you
Moremi transferred to Gunn because the first was rented out for a wedding party. Due to circumstances I was in Moremi and have both camps can compare. We were quite happy with the choice because Gunn smaller and more intimate.
That certainly also applies to Sango, again in a completely different ecological way surroundings. Max. 12 guests just like Gunn, nice crew and a knowledgeable guide. The night safari in particular was very spectacular. We found Ghoha Hills the most appealing camp. It is beautifully situated. Maybe we were lucky because at the time of arrival we had the
were only guests. Beautiful secluded lodge! Highly recommended for the Botswana traveler. Nice management.
The Kubu Safari Lodge was very different again. You almost imagine yourself in the habited world. Beautiful trip over the river and a spectacular drive among the elephants. Hippos between the lodges! Vic. Falls Ilala Lodge is a beautiful ending to relax come into an English colonial environment. We took a helicopter ride above the falls and the walking tour that goes with it as well as a boat trip. For the boat trip we would have done better to make use of the special boat that the lodge has at its disposal. Also displays more pleasant company than a reservation through Wild Horizon. You should let's know! So a point of attention in the information.
The food was everywhere more than excellent. Just the sometimes entertaining announcements already make you hungry. I thought it was remarkable that my dietary requirements had been met.
Looking back: we would have made no other choices and want a would like to recommend such a trip. Maybe a slightly shorter stay in VF, if the accent is on the Falls, and a little longer in one of the lodges, for example in Ghoha. That certainly wouldn't have been a punishment. The contact with your agency was exemplary. The documentation is fine.
Greetings to all who helped and hopefully see you again later on. My daughter already wants to come with me!
