Round trip Brazil and Argentina

The De Wolff-Vroemen family  traveled for almost a month through Brazil and Argentina. In Brazil, the route went from Sao Paulo to Foz de Iguacu. Then a direct flight to Salta (Argentina) where a self-drive starts to Mendoza  by beautiful nature. Finally, a flight takes them to Buenos Aires.

Dear people,

What a great trip we have been able to make thanks to your great program! We thought it was very thoughtful to receive a welcome home card from you. Well, what can we say, we have had so many positive experiences and have been able to meet such nice people. Argentina's nature is, in one word, amazing…

We are very satisfied with the local representatives you work with. We were well guided, well received at the airport and taken to our accommodation and picked up again. In Iguazu we were called immediately and we could always go with questions.

As far as the accommodations are concerned, all praise for how they have been selected with care.

It was not always easy to get money, not even at Mikro or ATM. Bank card from the Rabobank was not accepted… We were helped extremely well by Rémy, the owner of Posada 21 in Iguazu. We are still grateful to him! Euros are very popular, can be exchanged at a good rate and it is really advisable to have some more money with you. We had €400 with us and it was too little… The best was to get money from the National Bank of Argentina.

It is also recommended to have a 4x4 car on the route to San Antonio de los Nubes, we were very happy with it given the quality of the road in some parts.

We also met Argentinians who were on holiday (for them winter holidays of course) in the area of Cachi and Cafayate. They showed us Buenos Aires and we will meet them in the Netherlands. In any case, our experiences with the Argentinians, wherever they may be, have been very cordial and warm. At a weaving mill in Belen we got a very nice tour, we were allowed to use a loom ourselves (according to the old traditions) and we left with a fantastically beautiful rug and big hugs back and forth. We also got a nice felt pin in the colors of Argentina and for them I had key rings with wooden clogs.

You really felt what we expected from our trip, all compliments and many thanks for this fantastic travel experience! We will definitely go to South America again.

With kind regards,

Mariëlle Vroemen and Rob de Wolff
