We definitely had a nice tour in Romania! We found the nature and the authentic character very special. Especially the bear spotting in Zabola and the donau delta were very special highlights! Bucharest: Fantastic hotel and location, also the time in Bucharest was ideal. Brasov: Beautiful city, a stay of three days was not too long. We took a day trip to the Transfagarassan, visited a bear sanctuary and we hiked in the Carpathians; very nice activities with a good guide. Piatra Neamt: The road to it indeed spectacular with the Bicaz gorges and also the lake was fun to walk around. We had opted for the hike and thus not the monasteries (as we felt we had already spent a lot of time in the car the previous days). Zabola: Beautiful estate, luxurious accommodation and delicious restaurant.The bear spotting was super. Danube Delta: Topper! The guide of was a very nice man who knew a lot about the birds we were spotting and he made for a very successful day. During the free day we looked for an activity ourselves, about 15km away there was a nice kayaking organization.
