15 days South Africa; What were you cool

15-day tour South Africa

The 15-day journey of Mr. Geuts and Mrs. Mooij went to South Africa. They started their journey in Cape Town and traveled via Hermanus and Sanbona Wildlife Reserve over the Garden Route to Amakhala Game Reserve. It was a varied journey with an extensive exploration of Cape Town, game drives in nature reserves, quad biking and, to top it off, a bungee jump at Bloukrans Bridge, the highest jump in the world.

Good afternoon Team Untamed Travelling,

Thank you for your welcome home card. We can indeed say that this trip has contributed to our 'memories for a lifetime experience' . We would like to thank you very much for that.
15 days South Africa; how cool you were, how beautiful you were, how impressive you were! We really enjoyed our trip, we did a lot but also saw a lot.

CAPE TOWN

Once we arrived after a long flight, we were very kindly received by our driver. He dropped us off neatly at the Trevoyan Guesthouse. We were nicely received and after a quick tour and explanation we were taken to our room. The next morning a delicious fresh breakfast was ready and the staff was more than friendly. The guesthouse was small, intimate and very cosy. rooms were fine.
The weather was perfect and we are soon to Robben Island gone. Very impressive to be there and to receive the explanation and the story from an old prisoner. After this trip we took the Hop on Hop off red bus and we have a tour of Cape Town made, we stopped at the table mountain , and once at the top we took beautiful pictures of the view.
The second day in Cape Town we made a wonderful trip with a private driver along the most beautiful places in Cape Town, after which we ended at the wonderful restaurant Butcher shop . What a meat! Delicious, choose which piece of steak you want on your plate, and also deliciously prepared.

HERMANUS

Our whale watching excursion at Hermanus was unfortunately canceled due to poor sea conditions. We then booked a quad tour and went treetops, a very successful morning! Our accommodation, The Potting Shed, was again a small-scale B&B but very intimate and cosy. The owners were very enthusiastic and friendly.

SANBONA WILDLIFE RESERVE

On to our first safari. Arriving at the gate an hour early, we were allowed to make our own way over the dirt road towards the lodge (25 km). Once we arrived at the lodge, we were kindly received by two people from the lodge. The car was parked, the suitcases brought to our suite and in the meantime we were given an explanation about the times of the game drives and the times for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
We were taken to our suites and really; WOW, what a room, what a view. Magnificent!! We imagined ourselves in pure luxury. And Joyce, thank you so much for the welcome card on our nightstand. After every game drive we were welcomed with a warm cloth to get rid of the dust. Then a delicious breakfast, lunch or dinner awaited us. A different menu every day and delicious food every day.

KNYSNA - FEATHERBED NATURE RESERVE - TSITSIKAMMA

After a long journey of 5 hours we arrived at The Elephant Hide of Knysna. The rooms were clean and large. Lovely hot tub that we used every night. The breakfast was delicious. Every evening the large fireplace was lit in the reception room, where we had a nice drink before going to our room to get ready for a nice dinner in the city.
The Theater Bed Cruise was very nice, after 20 minutes on the ship we arrive at the nature reserve. We are taken up by a train and meanwhile we stop to take pictures of the beautiful views. The walk through the nature reserve along the heads of Knysna was very nice.
We also have at the Knysna Elephant Sanctuary fed the elephants and we have Tsitsikamma Nature Reserve hiked the Suspension Bridge and Leopard Cliff.

AMAKHALA GAME RESERVE

On the way to Amakhala Game Reserve we stop at the Bloukrans Bridge for the highest bungee jump in the world. We both jump and this was so cool. I can recommend this to anyone who is in South Africa.
The Woodbury Lodge was a lovely lodge in the middle of the reserve. We slept in 'tree houses', each with their own deck. Breakfast, lunch and dinner were served at a long table where you eat with everyone. These three days we had the most beautiful game drives in which we saw the most diversity of animals.
In short, I sent an email that was too long, but it was a great holiday! We have seen and done a lot. We really enjoyed it and we will certainly provide word of mouth for your travel agency. Thank you very much for making this wonderful trip possible.

Sincerely,
Sarah Mooij/Joeri Geurts
