Special walking tours in Bale
Bale Mountains is a national park in southern Ethiopia consisting of two sections. The northerly is situated on a rock plateau at about 4,000 meters high. Here you will also find the Tullu Deemtu, with its 4377 meters the second highest mountain in Ethiopia. The landscape consists of conifers, grass and moors, rock peaks, alpine lake lakes, mountain streams and deep ravines. This is where mountain marmots and the Ethiopian wolf live. The southern part of the park looks completely different due to its lower location. Here you will find dense deciduous forests. Due to the heavy rainfall, the Bale Mountains have a rich variety of flora.
