Lodge built by locals in a prime location
Nuarro Beach Lodge is located in the small village of Nanatha and owes its name to its location; Nanatha Bay ends at a point formed from ancient coral called Nuarro. Nuarro Beach Lodge was hand built by local people using natural resources. The villagers are co-owners of the land in this beautiful place Mozambique and by building Nuarro, they are working on their own future.
The lodge consists of twelve comfortable chalets on the beach. Due to their location in the dunes, all chalets have a sea view. Each chalet has an indoor and outdoor shower, a sitting area, a large wooden veranda, a sun deck with a generous hammock and beautiful views over the bay.
The restaurant & cocktail bar also offers a panoramic view of the bay. It serves the most delicious traditional and international dishes, in which fresh fish and salads predominate.
Nuarro Beach Lodge is located on an endless white sand beach. You can take lovely long walks on the beach while enjoying the sight of the humpback whales that swim with their young here from July to December. The Nuarro bay is a protected nature reserve and has an enormous biodiversity, an ideal place for diving! An enormous variety of birds live on the Nuarro peninsula.
Fully equipped PADI center
There is a Beach Bar and a Marine Activity Center. The Marine Activity Center is a fully equipped PADI center. Here you can go for night diving, drift diving, deep sea diving and wreck diving as well as other activities such as whale and dolphin watching, sailing on a dhow, sea kayaking, picnic trips to secluded beaches, mountain biking or a trip to the local village.
